Christmas in Australia!

What a wonderful 1st Christmas we had. Mum and Dad took us to Australia for 3 weeks to visit our family and friends! The flight there was LONG but we did pretty good. Let's not talk about the flight home....Mum and Dad have referred to it a few times as being a 'nightmare'... it wasn't fun..

Lots of exciting things happened in Australia; Harrison started to crawl, we both started pulling ourselves up to stand, Stella said 'Mum' a few times, we went to the beach and enjoyed lots of yummy Australian mangos! We were incredibly spoilt on Christmas day with presents! Here are some highlights!!

We were christened the day after we arrived. Here we are with our amazing godparents - Adam & Lexi!

Our Great Grand Mima came too!

Here is Stella & Nanna JJ at Ripples Milson's Point for brunch...

We spent a lot of time at Balmoral Beach.. Harrison loved wearing his hat..

We had a lovely picnic with our Koch cousins one day...

Our Godmother Lexi came over one day for a play date...

Christmas morning was so much fun! We were spoilt!!

Every 10-month old needs a leather jacket and fur vest!!!

Aunty Shawn & Uncle Nick came to Australia too!

We had lots of fun with our second cousins Oli & Soph...

Another great Balmoral picnic...this time with Mum's friends!

We loved the grilled ocean trout from the local fish & chips store..

We would often visit the park near Nanna JJ & Pop's...

We couldn't go to Australia and not hit the beach!

We had a great catch up with our new friends Hunter & Evie..

And Milly...

And ANOTHER Balmoral play date... this time with Sophie, Oli and the Thurecht girls! So much fun!

We had a lovely lunch at Bondi the day before we left with Mum & Dad..

We also got to see the T girls again!

We loved our time in Australia and can't wait to go back...

Santa & Mumma!

Mum and Dad took us to meet Santa this weekend!

Stella was not so keen on the man in the red suit...

But she did like the lollipop he gave her...

The other big news from the past two weeks is that Stella now crawls forward and Harrison has said 'Mumma' 3 times!!! (Mumma is counting...)

2 more sleeps till we leave for our first trip to Oz!! We can't wait. We are so excited. We don't plan on sleeping a wink during the 23 hour flight..

Moving & Swinging

Before it gets too cold we have been visiting the park for a final few swings..

Lots of developments to report: Harrison now says Dadda too (no Mamma's from either rascal!), both of us can wave and clap. Stella can move from her tummy to sitting (which she loves to do in her crib when she is supposed to be sleeping!) and we are both on the move. We can crawl backwards and sideways and in circles but crawling forwards is still a challenge!

We love to stand and play with our new toy whilst Mum and Dad hold us. It makes us feel like grown ups.

9 month check-up and Thanksgiving!

Another exciting week!  First up, our 9 month check up..

Harrison weighed in at 19lbs 10oz and 29 1/4" long

Stella weighed in at 18lbs 1oz and 29 3/4" long

Aunty Carrie, Isy and Ava arrived from Oz this week. We have been brunching and lunching around NYC...

I think Mum and Dad were more excited than we were...

They also joined us for our very first Thanksgiving!

It took many many attempts to get the photo above. First.... Harrison had a melt down because Mum was holding Ava...

Then.... Stella decided to 'lovingly' pull Ava's hair mid-shot...

Our best friend Jack also came with his parents.

We had a great day. Turkey is delicious!

The countdown is on until we fly home to Australia for Christmas!

Three Musketeers

It's just us and Mum this week. Dad had to go to Oz for work. We miss him terribly. We are taking good care of Mum.

Harrison is getting his fifth tooth and Stella's top two teeth have also cut through. The up-side is we can keep Mum company at 5:45am in the morning when we wake up from the pain.

Harrison has got the hang of waving hello and goodbye and Stella now loves to clap. We promised Dad we wouldn't start crawling until he returns.

Sick, cold and 'Dadda'!

Sadly, Harrison and Mum have been sick this past week. Luckily everyone is on the mend. It's been so cold that we had to up-grade from wool beanies to furry woolly hats!

Stella loves hers...

Harrison isn't too sure..

Dad is very sad as he has gone to Oz on a work trip. Stella gave him a big surprise the weekend before he left by saying 'Dadda'! Now she doesn't stop... it's 'Dadda Dadda' all day long. Mum is aggressively coaching Harrison to say 'Mumma'... watch this space...
